A New Feeture

Since this was originally posted, membership in and watchers of the group have nearly doubled.  Therefore, I'm updating and re-posting this journal entry, to allow more people to participate in this feature.

In a prior journal, I discussed the concept of a so-called "Group Dedication Section", but couldn't really articulate a solid idea.  Well today, I had a brainstorm.  Actually, it just about hit me in the face when I stumbled upon "Bridget Bardot" by ~JayHookerImages (recently accepted as a submission to the group).

The famous Brigitte Bardot photo... so iconic, and oft repeated... that very cross-legged position has come to be known as "The Brigitte Bardot Pose".


Bardot (of course), Elle McPherson, Giselle, Lindsay Lohan, and a host of others, have posed in this iconic style.

Now I'm asking you to try it.  I challenge you, the members, to reinvent, reinterpret, or homage this classic image.

Starting today, there will be a new gallery folder called "The Bardot Pose".  Anyone who wishes may contribute a piece based on this idea, to that folder.  If you are unable or unsure how to accomplish this, note me, with a link to the piece, and I will submit it.

The Rules (not that I'm fond of rules)... so... the Suggestions:
- A new piece, made specifically for this challenge, would be great (but not required).
- The words LoveHosedToes on the piece would be great (but only if you normally mark your pieces with text).
- A link to the group in the description would be fantastic to boost awareness of the group (but again, not required)
- Any media is acceptable. For photographers and models, this is easy.  Illustrators are more than welcome.  And even to our writers, if you can capture this iconic image in poetry or prose, I'm excited to read the result.

The one hard-and-fast rule is this: The inclusion of exposed feet in hosiery is (as always) the defining feature of the group, and tantamount to this particular submission.  The type and color, however, is left to your interpretation.

So, please, get to modelling, shooting, sketching, rendering, writing, or whatever it is you do, and show us your vision of the iconic Brigitte Bardot.
